MECDA Carnival Workshops 2008

In keeping with our tradition of featuring the finest instructors belly dance has to offer, we are offering fabulous workshops with Princess Farhana, Urban Tribal Dance Company, Sadie, and the East Coast Tribal duo Kassar.

2008 MECDA CARNIVAL will be returning to the Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia, CA. Planned dates are June 7 and 8, 2008.

New Inside Location! Spacious Area. Larger Inside Bazaar Stage.

STAGE INFORMATION:

Inside: The Bazaar stage 16' deep and 24' wide. It will have tents for quick changes on both sides, also, entrances and exits.  The real dressing room will be at a different area.Feldthice.jpg

Outdoors: There is a covered canopy over the stage and the audience. Stage size is 20' x 20'. The Gypsy Camp has one entrance:  Stage right, and will have a waiting space, but no enclosed area. 

ENJOY the fantasy of Mid-Eastern dance as you experience the excitement of an Egyptian marketplace. Join in the festivities as MECDA brings you non-stop entertainment from the entire Mediterranean area. Music and dance from all Near and Middle Eastern Countries will be featured.

REVEL in the exotic wares displayed by vendors and barterers at every hand, gathered from every corner of the earth! To please your palate, delicious Mid-Eastern and American food will be offered.

DELIGHT in the glamour and allure of the Egyptian cabaret stage and the magic of Village dances as well as gypsies, clowns, magicians, jugglers and street musicians playing for folk dancing and audience participation.

Middle Eastern and American food will be available along with a full bar. We'll see you there!
